Soldier On Grant Program
The Soldier On Equipment Grant provides financial assistance to eligible members to help offset the cost of sport, recreation, and creative activity equipment, supporting participation, recovery, and overall well-being.
As an official grant program of the Canadian Armed Forces, the Fund is entirely financially supported through donations received from Canadians, members of the Canadian Armed Forces, small businesses, corporations, and foundations.
Soldier On defrays the cost of an active and/or creative lifestyle for eligible members through its equipment grant program. As indicated in the applicant guide to the Soldier On Grant, due to the exceptionally high demand, we have already reached our target maximum for this window, and we are currently unable to accept additional applications.
Applications will be accepted in our next application window. We understand the importance of our program and its impact, and we assure you that as soon as we are in a position to do so, we will reopen the program and start accepting applications again.

ADAPT · OVERCOME · SOLDIER ON
Any serving member or Veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces who acquired a permanent physical or mental health illness or injury while serving their country.
Other beneficiaries may include members from other government departments that have acquired a permanent illness or injury while supporting Canadian Armed Forces operations; these will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
Applications are accepted within the designated application windows.
Soldier On defrays the cost of an active lifestyle for eligible members through its equipment grant program. This program is funded exclusively by donations from generous Canadians.
Step 1: If you haven’t already, it’s easy – register with Soldier On.
Step 2: Before you can apply, please read the applicant guide to the Soldier On grant application. The application form link will only be active during respective application windows. The next application window will be in Fall 2026. Please note that Soldier On will have 3 grant windows this fiscal year (May, September and December).
Step 3: Submit your application by clicking the application form link provided in the applicant guide when you're ready to apply. We will contact you once we have begun processing your application, and if successful, for further instructions on reimbursement. The grant link, found at the end of the applicant guide, will be accessible only during the designated application periods
